Last night rought rounda valet of a 3 week old car it wasn’t to dirty and cleaned up well. After drying the car i could see that it needed a polish and a wax as it a really flat black and looked dead.
When i had finished the customer came out and stated “Wow it looks better than it did when i took it out of the show room”
This BMW 5 Series had just completed a 2,000 mile trip to Europe. The owner had washed the vehicle earlier in the week so it wasn’t that bad to wast it was only hindered by dead bugs that where baked on to the front.
This was a local car valet in Harrogate which came to me after the owner saw this BMW car valet in ripon i had done

Today brought a BMW 5 Series in black. This was due to have a full machine polish but due to rain breaks my day was cut short so it received a full all in one hand polish.
The interior leather was treated with Autoglym Leather Combo.

The engine was rinsed off and then cleaned with a APC (JEEP) and aggiated with a selection of brushes, then dressed.

The BMW 5 Series Alloys where cleaned with a selection of brushes mainly the Ez Detail Wheel Brush, and a mixture of Megs Wheel Brightener and a trade equivalent.
Tyres where scrubbed and cleaned with APC and dress with Megs Hot Shine

The BMW 5 Series was rinsed of and then Snow Foamed, hand washed with a 2 bucket method and then Clayed using Sonus Glyde as a lub. Polished using a All in One Trade polish.

Inside was hoovered wiped down and leather treated.

The Owner of this BMW X5 also owns Brimham Rocks Cottages which have a fabulous indoor swimming pool. The Cottages are located near Brimham Rocks, which is pretty much in between Ripon, Harrogate and Pateley Bridge.
Back on to the BMW X5, in the past day the majority of the roads that the X5 travels on have been re surfaced, so it was covered with tar, i got the majority removed from the body work but didn’t focus to much on the arches as the rest of the roads are due to be done soon.
I had my partner to help me on this job and she did a great job of hoovering and cleaning the interior of the X5 while i focus on the Exterior. Below i have the photos of the before’s and after’s

 The rear and sides of the BMW X5 weren’t to bad a few random bits of Tar here and there. The B piller on the door did have a high gloss finish which had faded due to been used to push/ pull the door shut, I managed to clean these up very well

The front was as expected a scene from bugs life, so a good 10/15 minute with the pressure washer here to remove the majority

The X5’s alloys cleaned up pretty quickly given there size, the only issue i had was that they where warm so i had to cool them off first with plenty of water.

This BMW was my second job at the local garden centre located between Harrogate and York. The owner also asked if i could wax the car if the weather stayed fine.

After i had washed the BMW, i gave it a hand polish which did contain small amounts of carnauba wax in. But not enough to offer long term protection.

Briefly: This BMW 5 Series looks to be used daily and is mainly a work horse traveling up and down the country, unlike most of the cars that i get, which just seem to stay in the Yorkshire area. It looks to be washed regularly by the owner but is covered in RDS (Random Deep Scratches).
